Traditional costumes in Switzerland vary from region to region, but the most famous costumes are the typical Swiss costumes that are famous in the mountainous regions of the country, such as the Swiss Alps and the Engadine. Traditional Swiss costumes consist of different pieces of clothing, including woolen gerberas decorated with embroidery and logos, traditional Swiss hats, long pants, high woolen socks, and a wide belt decorated with bright colors

Swiss men's clothing
The national costume is the traditional clothing worn by farmers, and in the mountainous areas, Swiss men prefer to wear leather pants because they facilitate movement. As for the rest of the regions, they wear shorts, wool socks, a shirts, and a long-sleeved coats, in addition to hats.

Swiss women's clothing
As for women's clothing, they wear long colorful skirts and shirts with puffy sleeves, and hats. Swiss women adorn themselves with elegant jewelry that reflects their femininity.
These costumes vary greatly from one region to another in Switzerland, and their use dates back to the Middle Ages, reflecting the lifestyle of the people of that period and their various professions.
